GIS SENIOR TECHNICIAN
GIS Senior Technician with 8-10 years of experience to serve as the firm’s primary GIS expert in an ongoing and evolving GIS application on a major hydrologic study for a major Houston area governmental entity and support other ongoing projects. Lead the effort to expand the use of a developed and approved GIS tool to provide additional decision-making and prioritizing capabilities. Advise on and lead efforts to increase the attributes and functionality of the tool. Develop and program new elements to the GIS tool using Visual Basic or VB.NET. Interact with team members and client engineering staff. Proficient in Esri GIS Suite including Spatial Analyst, ArcView and ArcMap and ability to write code to merge with GIS. Some background or knowledge in civil engineering a plus.
GIS TECHNICIAN
GIS Technician with 3-5 years of experience needed to assist with the development and implementation of GIS efforts at a Civil Engineering firm. Efficiently apply GIS to a variety of transportation and public works infrastructure and commercial land development projects. Create data sets and work with existing independent data sets or combined data sets. Familiarity with raster and vector data a plus. Perform GIS data entry, data processing, file management and prepare exhibits for various projects. Interact closely with the engineering and design team. Proficient in Esri GIS Suite including Spatial Analyst, ArcView and ArcMap. Some background or knowledge in civil engineering a plus.
STORM WATER GRADUATE/ENTRY LEVEL ENGINEER
Ideal candidate will have BSCE with an interest in performing flood studies, drainage, hydrology and hydraulics engineering work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. An MSCE would be a plus. Must have a working knowledge of HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and XPSWMM. Interests and experience in using GIS in hydrology and hydraulics analysis a plus. Should have Texas EIT or be prepared to take test for it soon. Perform a variety of routine engineering tasks which are intended to provide increasing experience in methods, procedures and practices. Assist in the preparation of engineering documents, plans and specifications. Good communication skills a must.
MUNICIPAL SERVICES ASSOCIATE ENGINEER/EIT
Ideal candidate will have BSCE with an interest in performing general civil engineering work, including drainage, roadways, water and wastewater design, under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. Should have Texas EIT or be prepared to take the test for it soon. Perform a variety of routine engineering tasks which are intended to provide increasing experience in methods, procedures and practices. Assist in the preparation of engineering documents, plans and specifications. Work is primarily for public sector clients, but some private development work is possible. Must have a working knowledge of AutoCAD and good communication skills. Civil 3D experience a plus.
MUNICIPAL SERVICES/LAND DEVELOPMENT DESIGNER/CADD TECH
Must have 3+ years of Land Development experience in preparation of plans for site developments. Must have an understanding of City of Houston and Harris County design standards and plan approval process. Experience with AutoCAD a must. Knowledge and use of Civil 3D a plus. Must be able to take survey data and produce base maps. Must be able to extract topographic data in a data file for use with other programs such as HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Licensed Professional Design Engineer with 9-15 years of experience in transportation structural projects (BSCE or MSCE). Must have experience in Microstation, preliminary engineering reports, quantity take-offs, bridge/retaining wall layouts, structural design, geotechnical coordination, and PS&E preparation for transportation projects with various clients and governmental agencies. Proficient in the use of structural design software with the ability to generate and report input/output design calculations. Bridge, retaining walls, culverts, underground structures and miscellaneous structural design required. Ability to manage junior design staff and multiple tasks. Good communication skills.
TRAFFIC & ITS PROJECT ENGINEER
Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, or ability to obtain licensure in State of Texas. Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification preferred. BSCE or MSCE with a minimum of 4 years of work experience in the industry. Experience in traffic engineering operations, traffic signal timing and signal design, traffic analysis, simulation and modeling software such as Synchro, TSPP, CORSIM and VISSIM. Experience in traffic impact analysis, corridor analysis, circulation studies, feasibility studies and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Experience with plans, specifications and estimate packages. Ability to adhere to budgets, scope and schedule. AutoCAD a plus. Work with/supervise young staff and designers. Experience in Technical Report Writing a plus.
